CONNECT WITH NATURE
Look deep into nature, and then you will understand everything better.
-Albert Einstein
As I have previously said, the society we live in has created unnecessary stress and anxiety. Whenever you are worried about a problem with your life, go into nature. Look up to the stars and try to understand the universe’s complexity, and question what we are even doing here. By doing that alone, most of your problems will seem laughable. Nature should make you feel tiny. It’s a humbling experience to be out in nature because you realize that you are just a tiny, tiny dot, and your problems really do mean nothing in the grand scheme of things.
These are a few poems that were inspired while I was in nature.
Nature Is My Church
Nature talks to me in a way that no one has the ability to do. I feel more connected with God when I’m in nature than when I go to church. Nature is raw. There is no fluffing with nature. Nature puts on a spectacular show without the need for theatrics, speeches, verses, music, or coffee socials. No matter what the day had brought my way, if I was able to get away from the artificial noise and into the real noise that nature provides, my soul was rejuvenated.
Unknown Destination
Thrown into the water
No known destination
Floating on top of a massive force of water
Yet you find yourself in a calm
Lasts briefly
Current picks up and propels you downstream
Crash into rocks and branches
After reoccurring resistance, you are finally free
With no known destination
Grand Canyon
Grand decisions require grand thinking
Grand thinking requires grand reflection
Grand reflection requires grand awareness
Grand awareness requires grand exposure
Grand exposure requires grand action
Grand action requires grand risk
Bonus: If you are unable to get out into nature, then bring nature to you. Make sure your house has at least two plants. The vibes a simple plant can bring into your house are unmatched and a very effective mood booster!
